It’s about that time of year when everyone is toying with the idea of getting the fuck outta the Great White North… but air travel with babies and toddlers can seem like far too daunting a task to undertake – especially for first timers.

Our advice? If you’ve got the time and the means, JUST DO IT!

Will it feel more like a relocation than a vacation? Yeah, probably.  But it’s worth the trouble, because the memories you’ll make on your trip will stay with you forever and instilling a love of travel in your kids from a young age is a gift they’ll thank you for a million times over in the future. (Plus your face won’t freeze when you walk out the door anymore. #momwin)

If you’re still nervous about the whole ordeal, we’re here to give you a little confidence boost by equipping you with all the tips and tricks we’ve come up with over the past four years of traveling with our spawn. Trust us, if we can do it, you can too….

A NOTE FOR THE NEWBIES!
TRAVEL WITH A NEWBORN

No matter how terrifying this prospect may seem, the best time to travel with your child is when they’re between zero and six-months-old. They’re immobile, they sleep a lot, they actually fit on the tiny airplane change tables, and there’s literally nothing a boob (or pacifier) can’t fix. Most importantly, they’re not relying on constant entertainment, meaning you can chill out and actually enjoy your time away.

Will your babe go buck-wild and cry for an entire flight? Maybe. But know this: millions of babies have cried on millions of flights before you, and no one remembers. If it happens, just try to calm your spawn and get over it. ?Ear buds and movies are available on planes for a reason.
