This week we were invited by our new pals from Up Cannabis to The New Farm in Creemore, Ontario to go… wait for it… GLAMPING. Yes – it’s an actual thing and yes, it’s actually kind of amazing; even for two bonafide city kids like us.

While (hashtag) Up at The Farm, we actually managed to learn a lot about everything from horticulture to influencer culture.

Here are some of our key takeaways:

Aleks rides horses. Western style.

Not all portable toilets are created equal. (There was AC involved).

“One puff is enuff.”

We like farms a lot (as long as they’re well curated farms with luxury tents).

Influencers love activities.

Mosquitoes favour Nikita.

Will Farrell has a doppelgänger (and he happens to be the CEO of Up Cannabis).

When someone asks if you’re doing yoga at 9:30 a.m., if you tell them you already took the 7:00 a.m. class, they’ll believe you ten times out of ten. (Shout out to Christian Dare for imparting this wisdom)

Wifi at the farm is free.

The Japanese cucumbers they grow at The New Farm have a cult following.

Terpenes are the future of cannabis exploration.

There are spa services at the Caledon gas station.

Drones really need to not become a thing because the noise they make is really fucking annoying.

Forest bathing. (Google it)

Women have more cannabanoid receptors in their bodies than men. (#bless)

Farm-to-table tastes delicious. (Shout out to the chefs who fed us like kings)

Dallas Green playing acoustic guitar in a barn has an overwhelming effect on straight white males.

We can make a VIP section anywhere. (Just add Muskoka chairs and a cup of ice)

The guy behind The Toronto Guardian (HEY JOEL!) is a self-identified adventure junky who enjoys morning runs in the blazing sun and swimming with snakes in the watering hole. We love him.

Hipsters and farmers are hard to tell apart.

Stretch denim is not hardcore enough to stop mosquitos.

There is a lot of potential for more diversity in the cannabis space. Women, POC – get in on this shit.

P.S. This is not a sponsored post… But we got spoiled up there and it was too good for us not to issue a proper Thank You in blog format.

P.P.S. If you need some summertime reading material for excursions much like this… may we humbly suggest the best parenting book ever? Pairs especially well with basking in the summer sun.

xx RM
