Co-Founders & best friends, Angela Pastor & Julie Kalinowski, have known each other since Kindergarten (!) and have always dreamed of owning a clothing store together. When Angela & Julie were working together at a media company they used the opportunity to plan out their business during lunch breaks and, as their side hustles, started doing pop-up shops throughout Toronto with unique clothing brands on offer. After testing rentals within their final pop-up shops, the new business was born and Angela & Julie re-launched as The Fitzroy and haven't looked back since.
It should come as no surprise to anybody that we LOVE The Fitzroy! We've been supporters since its early days, renting pieces ourselves, bringing in family members (yes, our moms love it too) and referring endless amounts of friends & RM community members. The business model is pure genius (who needs a closet full of memorable gowns collecting dust? Not us!), their buying is on point (all the brands we love are accounted for) and they're taking sustainability to a whole new level by massively reducing waste that comes with traditional clothing retail.
