Hana McConville is a passionate advocate for redefining the postpartum landscape in Canada and a mother of two. Hana had the opportunity to ‘sit the month’, a traditional Chinese postpartum practice. With a focus on the new parent’s rest, nourishment and healing, Hana knows first-hand what a difference this makes on the postpartum journey. Alma Care was started to give that same experience to parents across Canada. With a strong background in start-ups, Hana Co-founded Greenhouse, a plant-based beverage company, in 2014. Her knowledge rooted in health and wellness has extended to building Alma Care to create a sanctuary for recovery for new parents.

FINALLY someone has come along and filled the massive void in postpartum care that has existed in Canada since the dawn of time. When you look at postpartum practices from around the world, it becomes clear that the level of care afforded to new moms in Canada (and the US for that matter) is sub par. We deserve so much more... and now we finally have it! We love that Alma Care offers retreats as well as in-home care and virtual resources so that their services are accessible to more than just their guests. The facility itself, however, is stunning and the location is unparalleled. This truly is postpartum care done right and we're so happy it's finally available to families in the GTA.
