Over here at The Rebel Mama, we’ve always got our eyes peeled and our ears to the ground, hunting for anything rad that feeds our soul – could be art, could be literature, could be photos, could be people; we’re not ones to discriminate.
Often we stumble across sources of inspiration on – where else – Instagram. Aleks and I are constantly discovering new accounts and sending them back and forth to each other.
“OMG babe – the outfits. You must follow.”
“Epic photography. Follow.”
“How cute is this shit?”
“Check out this charity she started – such a great idea”
And so on and so forth.
But recently we thought – how dare we keep this insane wealth of awesomeness to ourselves? If we dedicate a post every now and again to tipping our hats to the people who inform our aesthetic, inspire our content, and plant outfit ideas in our heads, everybody wins: You get some inspo and we get to give credit where credit is due, because as far as we can see it, that’s the best way to support our fellow creative beings in this day and age.
So without further ado, meet the first person to make The Cut:
WHO: KELLY ZAJFEN (a.k.a. @heartmom)
WHAT: Mom of twins | Owner and Creative Director of ridiculously cute mommy&me clothing line, @littleminis | co-founder of @allianceofmoms, an organization that aims to break the inter-generational cycle of babies born to teens in foster care | Heart ambassador for @childrensla
WHERE: Los Angeles, Ca.
WHY WE LOVE HER: Aside from all of her amazing work in community outreach, she has an incredible eye for photographing the whimsical/chaotic/messy beauty of childhood. Her personal style is fresh and effortless, and her chalk art is fucking epic. There’s literally nothing not to like about this babe.
Thanks for being such a boss, Kelly!
