Last week our go-to cannabis gal, Michelle Bilodeau, wrote a very informative piece for us called CBD AND COVD-19: CAN THIS CANNABIS COMPOUND HELP CALM OUR PANDEMIC PANIC? To no one’s  surprise, many of you had follow-up questions; luckily Michelle had answers!

During her day-long takeover of @therebelmama Instagram stories she fielded all kinds of q’s – the most common were:

HOW OFTEN CAN I TAKE CBD?

MICHELLE’S ANSWER: Dosage really does vary person to person, and each strain also affects each person differently. I think that’s why people have had a hard time figuring our dosing for themselves. There also are people who are straight up allergic to cannabis. So pay close attention to how you react. When it comes to how much, start out with the recommended dosage on the label. It will help you gauge how the dosage works for you, and go up from there. For me, I usually do two to three drops of the oil under my tongue.

CAN I TAKE CBD WHILE BREASTFEEDING?

MICHELLE’S ANSWER: Absolutely. In fact, breastfeeding expert Dr. Newman has said women who are breastfeeding can also consume THC if they wish (in moderation / in a safe environment). Especially in the case of CBD products (which often contain a  small amount of THC as well) the amount of THC that gets into breastmilk is so negligible that it will not harm the baby. So, yes – CBD is absolutely safe to take while breastfeeding.

WTF CANNABIS PRODUCTS ARE ACTUALLY WORTH BUYING?

MICHELLE’S ANSWER: These days everyone is (understandably) super intrigued and super confused by the incredible variety of CBD (and THC) products available on the market, and since research can be overwhelming (and clouded with marketing campaigns), here are a few of my stand-out favourites.
