There ain’t no party like a Rebel Mama party,
‘cause a Rebel Mama party ends by 9
In all seriousness though, what better window is there to get together with your mom pals (old and new) than 5pm-8pm?
We came with our jerseys in tow, set up at the back of the cutest shop on Roncesvalles (if you haven’t been to Early Bird And Worm yet, get on that), got some of our favourite wine flowing (thanks to Rosewood Estates Winery) and we basically just laughed and hugged and shook hands and kissed babies (just kidding about that last one – we know better than to touch your babies!) and had the most lit Friday night mom-hang you ever did see!
I have to say, the coolest part of the evening was the level of collaboration between small/local businesses… Jenna, our fellow Virgo Rebel, recently opened the doors to her lovely shop.
She stocks adorable children’s apparel and decor with a focus on gender neutrality, all things monochrome and the support of small brands (including one of our favourites, Boxing Bird Apparel – a line designed and made right here in Toronto!). Her price point is amazing and her buying skills are off the charts. We couldn’t have picked a better West-End space to “pop up” in.
The wine (let’s have a moment of silence for the wine, please) was hand delivered and served by local winery director, Will Roman who ACTUALLY MAKES the wine he brought with him. There was an Unoaked Chardonnay, a Riesling and a special edition Cyser – all delicious and all made just a couple hours outside the city in the Niagara region.
The party was attended by fellow mama bloggers, friends, neighbourhood regulars, OG Rebel Mamas, repeat customers, new faces, and even some rad Rebel Papas – all people who were there to support us and help us realize our vision of total world domination (kidding, kidding… sort of).
We are so grateful for every single person who contributed to making Friday night so much freaking fun! Thank you all for your awesome vibes and for your kind words about the #teamrebelmama jerseys as well as the Rebel Mama community as a whole – in the paraphrased words of Brian Adams, “Everything we do, we do it for you.”
We can’t wait to keep the party train going at our third and final pop up next month in lovely Summerhill at everyone’s favourite maternity shop, ANI + WREN! Details on their way… See you all soon!
